Permanent  makeup is cosmetic tattooing. The specialised techniques used for permanent cosmetics are often referred to as micropigmentation or micro-pigment implantation. This cosmetic implantation technique deposits coloured pigment into skin, a form of tattooing but using Mineral pigments instead if Ink which is only tattooed in the top layer of the dermis or skin.

The procedure can be painful although most clients describe is as a scratching feeling similar to that of a tattoo although not as painful as the pigment isn’t embedded as deep. Anaesthetic is applied prior to and during treatment to minimise discomfort. Pain varies from person to person.

Permanent Make-up can last for several years but this is change from person to person based on skin type, sun exposure and general lifestyle. To keep your make up looking fresh, maintenance in the form of a retouch is required to refresh and add a colour boost. This should be done between 12 and 24 months to ensure it’s always looking fresh.

We allow 2-3 hours per treatment which gives ample time to discuss your desired treatment and allow for a full consultation to discuss your expectations and see what can or can not be achieved. We will redraw and create the make up for you to see before pigmentation so you can see the progress the whole way through. Photos will be taken at the start, after the pre-drawing and after pigmentation so a clear record is kept throughout. You will be kept as comfortable as possible during the treatment using aesthetic.
